Overview

HG 1/144 GN-000 0 Gundam (Type A.C.D.) recreates the Actual Combat Deployment version of Celestial Being’s first Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

The Type A.C.D. version features the familiar red, blue, white and yellow Gundam color scheme used during its later combat deployment. Its classic silhouette reflects the design lineage of the original RX-78-style Gundam while incorporating Gundam 00 technology such as a GN Drive, GN Particle Storage Tank and GN-powered equipment.

The kit includes a Beam Gun, Gundam Shield and GN Beam Saber, together with interchangeable rear equipment that allows builders to display the machine with either the GN Drive or GN Particle Storage Tank.

DeToyz Note

0 Gundam Type A.C.D. has an interesting place in the Gundam 00 lineup. Its color scheme and proportions deliberately feel closer to a traditional Gundam, but the GN Drive and Celestial Being technology connect it clearly to the 00 universe.

The kit is relatively simple compared with newer HG releases, which can also make it a relaxing and approachable build. The Beam Gun, shield and classic silhouette work well for straightforward standing or firing poses.

It is also a good kit for light detail work. Panel lining around the white armor, careful color correction and a matte top coat can make the older molding look much cleaner. Displaying it opposite Gundam Exia Repair II also recreates an important final-battle pairing from the series.
