The Royal Series has been shaping up into a very unique line — sharper silhouettes, more aggressive stances, and weapons that look purpose-built rather than ornamental. Nether Emperor follows that direction nicely. Even in grayscale, the proportions look fast, lean, and efficient. I'm quite curious how SNAA will finish this one in full color.

29th Nov 2025 Update: SNAA YR-05 Nether Emperor (A.P Type) – Full Color Reveal & Updated Details
SNAA has finally released the full-color official images for YR-05 “Nether Emperor” (A.P Type) — the fourth entry in the Royal Series. This update gives us a clearer look at the machine’s true personality, energy modes, and weapon details, expanding on the earlier gray prototype we reviewed.
If you’ve been following SNAA’s original mecha lineup, this is one of the units that carries a strong thematic identity — fast, precise, and built for decisive combat at mid-range and close-quarters.
Energy Modes – Ghost Mask & Dual-Tone Frame
One of the signature features of Nether Emperor is its two energy states, each represented with different color parts:
1. Ghost Mode (Green Energy Lines)
- Activated when the Ghost Mask is attached
- Characterized by eerie green energy stripes across the frame
- Designed for stealth and covert operations
- The head remains fully masked in this mode
2. Unmasked Mode (Orange Energy Lines)
- Triggered when the Ghost Mask is removed
- The machine unlocks a second permission level, enhancing overall performance
- Energy lines shift from green to orange, representing a higher-output combat form
- Includes two different antenna colors for optional head configuration
Both color sets (green & orange) are included in the kit, and SNAA even allows mixing for asymmetrical builds — a nice touch for builders who like customization.
Weapon Loadout (Final Production Version)
SNAA has now confirmed the final weapon set included with the kit:
雷引脉冲 – Thunder Pulse (Mid-Range Laser Gun)
A long, elegant mid-range weapon mounted on the back. The central power conductor lights up when charging, matching the energy mode (green or orange). It is used for ranged suppression and opening engagements.
瞬闪断裂刃 – Flash Sever Blade
A close-quarters execution blade mounted at the waist, designed for fast swings and decisive finishing slashes.
破甲突刺 – Armor Breaker (Telescopic Bayonet)
A retractable stabbing weapon hidden under the front armor. It extends outward with force, ideal for piercing heavy defenses or delivering sudden counterattacks.
Each weapon now appears with final molding detail, color separation, and effect placements — a big step up from the early prototype.
Frame & Posing – A.P Type Mobility Concept
Just like SNAA described previously, Nether Emperor is tuned for high mobility:
- Agile frame designed for fast directional changes
- Optimized articulation with minimal armor obstruction
- Layered armor plates that still allow extreme poses
- Panels engineered to flex with the body’s motion
The new photos show a variety of dynamic stances — mid-air thrusts, evasive maneuvers, and close-range slices — confirming that articulation lives up to the Royal Series standard.
Head Variants & Cockpit Feature
The full-color update also reveals extra mechanical details around the head and chest:
- Ghost Mask mode for the stealth configuration
- Two antenna color options (green & orange) after removing the mask
- Chest block that can flip to reveal additional inner detail

This update really changes the impression of Nether Emperor. The prototype already looked promising, but the final color design — especially the dual-mode green/orange energy configuration — gives the kit a very strong identity.
The weapon designs also feel sharper and more mature now. If you are collecting the Royal Series, this one feels like a “must-get,” especially for builders who enjoy poseability and a slightly darker mechanical style.
