Overview

HG 1/144 Gundam Sandrock Custom EW brings Quatre Raberba Winner’s mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz into a newly developed High Grade format.

The kit recreates Sandrock Custom’s distinctive white, navy, and gold appearance together with its large anti-beam cloak and twin Heat Shotels. A newly developed W-Series internal frame supports the Endless Waltz proportions while providing the articulation needed for natural standing, cloak-equipped, and dual-weapon poses.

The cloak is produced from a flexible soft material, allowing it to sit around the model without completely restricting movement. Clear red effect parts are also included to recreate the Heat Shotels in their heated state.

DeToyz Note

The new HG Sandrock Custom EW finally gives the Endless Waltz design a modern 1/144 release. Its main appeal is not only the updated proportions, but also how the cloak and twin Heat Shotels shape the overall display.

The soft cloak gives the model a different silhouette from most Gundam kits, while the clear heated-blade parts make the Heat Shotels stand out without requiring custom painting. The wide shoulder movement should also make the dual-weapon poses more convincing than on older versions.

A straight build already has strong contrast between the pale armor, dark cloak, and red weapon effects. A little panel lining around the white armor and careful gold detail work should be enough to give the finished model a clean Endless Waltz appearance.
