The MG 1/100 Gundam Vidar from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is released as a Master Grade kit featuring an updated Gundam Frame, developed under the supervision of mechanical designer Ippei Gyoubu.

This updated internal frame expands articulation while maintaining the solid, grounded feel characteristic of Iron-Blooded Orphans designs. The kit focuses on linked armor movement, mechanical realism, and MG-original gimmicks that enhance both posing and build satisfaction.

Rather than simply scaling up the HG design, this MG version emphasizes internal structure refinement and coordinated armor movement.

Personal Notes (From Ah Chong)

This MG Vidar feels very “Iron-Blooded Orphans” in how it moves — the linked knee armor and updated shoulder range make posing feel natural and grounded rather than exaggerated. The handgun gimmick is subtle but adds a nice layer of mechanical realism during the build.

If you enjoy MG kits where internal structure and movement logic are just as important as surface detail, Vidar is a very satisfying project.
