Overview

RG 1/144 Shining Gundam brings Domon Kasshu’s mobile fighter from Mobile Fighter G Gundam into the Real Grade lineup with advanced articulation, detailed mechanical construction, and a fully integrated transformation into Super Mode.

The kit is designed around natural human-style movement, making it especially suitable for martial arts poses, punches, kicks, and close-combat displays. Its internal frame supports flexible body movement, while the three-axis neck and additional swing mechanism help create more expressive fighting stances.

Shining Gundam’s signature Super Mode can be activated without replacing parts. The head, shoulders, arms, legs, toes, and ankle armor all incorporate opening or extending mechanisms, allowing the model to transform while maintaining a stable and cohesive appearance.

RG Shining Gundam is built around movement rather than heavy weapons. Its strongest feature is how naturally it can recreate martial arts poses, from grounded fighting stances to more exaggerated punches, kicks, and Shining Finger attacks.

The Super Mode transformation is also more satisfying because it is built into the model. You do not need to remove and replace armor parts each time. The head, shoulders, legs, feet, and ankle sections all move as part of the transformation, making it easier to switch between Normal Mode and Super Mode for display.

This is a good choice for builders who enjoy posing their kits rather than leaving them in a simple standing position. A careful straight build with panel lining and the included realistic decals should already give it a strong Real Grade finish.
