Overview

HG 1/144 GQuuuuuuX brings the main mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX into Bandai’s High Grade Gunpla lineup.

Piloted by Amate “Machu” Yuzuriha, GQuuuuuuX has a very different mechanical design from a conventional Gundam. Its slim limbs, layered armor, exposed mechanical sections, unusual head structure, and large movable backpack create a distinctive silhouette that immediately identifies it as the lead machine of the GQuuuuuuX series.

The kit uses movable torso, hip, shoulder, and backpack joints to support dynamic fighting, crouching, and airborne poses. Two selectable head configurations are included, together with a full weapon set consisting of a Beam Rifle, Beam Sabers, Tomenosuke Heat Hawk, and Shield.

This standard version is a good starting point for anyone collecting the GQuuuuuuX Gunpla lineup or looking for a modern HG kit with an unconventional mechanical design.

Things to Note

• This is a plastic model kit and requires assembly.

• Two head configurations are included, but only one can be displayed on the completed model at a time.

• Some of the machine’s smaller color accents and markings are reproduced with stickers.

• The unusual layered design contains several small and sharply shaped parts, so careful nub removal is recommended.

• The backpack, head parts, weapon handles, and smaller armor sections should be handled gently during posing.

• Product images may show a painted, panel-lined, stickered, or professionally finished sample.

• Painting is not required, but panel lining, careful sticker application, and a top coat can improve the finished appearance.

• A separately sold Action Base is recommended for airborne and dynamic combat poses.

• Basic hobby tools such as a nipper, sanding tools, tweezers, and panel liner are recommended.

DeToyz Note

HG GQuuuuuuX does not look or build like a typical lead Gundam. The long limbs, narrow waist, layered armor, exposed details, and unusual head shape give it a much more mechanical and experimental appearance.

The articulation suits the design well. It looks best in low fighting stances, running poses, or airborne displays where the torso and backpack can work together to create a stronger
