Bandai Gundam Model Kit - HGUC Zeta Gundam
Overview
The HGUC 1/144 Zeta Gundam is released as the first kit in Bandai’s GUNPLA EVOLUTION PROJECT, focusing on pushing articulation and proportions beyond previous HG standards.
While retaining the iconic Zeta Gundam silhouette, this version prioritizes expressive posing and on-screen accuracy, achieving dynamic action poses that were difficult on older 1/144 Zeta kits.
Instead of full transformation complexity, Bandai adopts a parts-swap Wave Rider system, allowing the mobile suit mode to maintain excellent balance, clean proportions, and wide articulation. The result is a Zeta Gundam that feels modern, sharp, and highly poseable straight out of the box.

Personal Note (from Ah Chong)
Zeta Gundam has always been a difficult machine to balance between looks, transformation, and poseability—especially at 1/144 scale.
What I really like about this version is that Bandai made a clear decision: pose first, transform second.
If you enjoy setting up strong display poses or action scenes, this HGUC Zeta feels much more enjoyable than older releases. It stands well, moves well, and doesn’t feel fragile when you start pushing the joints. For me, this is one of those HG kits that reminds you how far Gunpla engineering has come.
