Overview

From Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN, the RX-78-02 Gundam joins the HG lineup in its Origin interpretation.

This release was designed around Gunpla’s 40th anniversary period, featuring updated HG format engineering and a parts configuration that allows accurate color separation straight out of the box.

One of the key features of this kit is the ability to recreate both:

• Early Type (asymmetrical design)
• Mid Type (symmetrical design)

through part selection during assembly.

The Early Type includes the distinctive left forearm Gatling gun and asymmetrical sleeve design, along with chest-mounted Shoulder Magnum and Vulcan placement. The Mid Type uses symmetrical parts for a more balanced appearance.

Additional articulation includes:

• Movable calf thrusters with deployable covers
• Articulated toe parts
• Multiple weapon mounting options on waist and shield

This is a display-focused kit that also highlights mechanical evolution within The Origin timeline.
