Overview

HGCE 1/144 Gouf Ignited (Heine Westenfluss Custom) is a modern High Grade Gunpla model kit of Heine Westenfluss’s orange custom mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY.

Unlike the standard blue Gouf Ignited, Heine’s personal unit uses his distinctive orange color scheme and represents the mobile suit he operated after joining the Minerva as a member of ZAFT’s FAITH special forces.

This newly engineered HGCE version features Bandai’s SEED Action System and a polycap-free Z.A.F.T. Frame for improved articulation and dynamic posing. The kit combines a highly adjustable flight unit with the Gouf Ignited’s Tempest Beam Sword, Slayer Whips, anti-beam shield and forearm-mounted Draupnir beam guns.

The biggest reason to choose this release is that it is a completely modern HGCE interpretation of the Gouf Ignited rather than a simple reproduction of the older kit.

The SEED Action System and Z.A.F.T. Frame give the model much better movement through the shoulders, torso, hips and legs. This matters because the Gouf Ignited is designed around aerial close combat, sword attacks and wide whip movements. A stiff standing pose does not show what the design can do.

The flight unit is another strong feature. Its wings, boosters, tail stabilizer and lower thruster can all be adjusted, allowing the silhouette to change depending on the pose. The standard 3mm connection also adds useful customization potential.

The Tempest Beam Sword has a particularly satisfying storage gimmick. It fits inside the shield and extends to its combat length without replacing the sword body. Combined with the two Slayer Whip shapes and open firing hand, the kit offers several different display styles straight out of the box.

For SEED DESTINY collectors, Heine’s orange machine remains one of the most recognizable Gouf Ignited variants. This new HGCE version finally gives it the articulation and engineering needed to match its fast, aggressive appearance.
