Overview

MG 1/100 Crossbone Gundam X-1 Ver.Ka brings the protagonist unit from Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam into the Master Grade lineup.

Supervised thoroughly by Hajime Katoki, this Ver.Ka edition focuses on refined proportions and mechanical detailing while staying faithful to the original design.

Based on the X-1, the kit allows parts swapping to recreate the X-1 Kai and X-1 Kai Kai configurations. The Core Fighter can combine with and separate from the main body.

The face mask features a sliding mechanism that recreates the heat-release mode without requiring part swapping. A wide selection of weapons and equipment is included, making this a fully equipped MG release.

Crossbone X-1 Ver.Ka is one of those MG kits that looks small but feels complete.

The sliding mask gimmick is well executed and does not rely on loose part swapping. The amount of equipment included makes it easy to display in different configurations.

If you are building a Universal Century lineup and want something different from standard RX-type silhouettes, this one adds variety without taking up too much shelf space.
