The HG 1/144 Gundam Ashtaron is a High Grade Gunpla kit from After War Gundam X. Piloted by Olba Frost, Gundam Ashtaron is known for its large backpack unit, transformable Mobile Armor form, and the massive Atomic Scissors mounted on its back.

This new HG release brings Gundam Ashtaron into a modern 1/144 format with updated proportions, articulation, and gimmick design. It is also designed to work together with the separately sold HG 1/144 Gundam Virsago, allowing builders to recreate the Frost Brothers’ combined assault display.

Gundam Ashtaron is a strong companion release to Gundam Virsago. While Virsago has the sharp villain-side Gundam look, Ashtaron brings in the larger backpack, transformable Mobile Armor form, and Atomic Scissors gimmick.

This kit should be especially interesting for Gundam X fans because it finally gives Ashtaron a modern HG treatment. If you are planning to collect both Frost Brothers units, pairing this with HG Gundam Virsago will create a much stronger display than building either kit alone.
