Overview

RG Unit-01 brings the iconic EVA from Neon Genesis Evangelion into Real Grade form, capturing its unique “organic machine” movement through a completely new internal structure. Instead of typical Gunpla engineering, the kit uses layered armor plates, flexible joints, and interlocking mechanisms to recreate human-like poses — crouching, lunging, sprinting, and even those dramatic forward-lean stances.

The multi-color molded parts provide accurate color separation without painting, and the extended articulation in the chest, abdomen, knees, and shoulders allows Unit-01 to move like the anime version. With weapons, hand parts, and the EVA’s signature umbilical cable included, this is one of the most expressive RG kits available.

Personal Note (From Ah Chong)

This is one of the most fun RGs to pose — it moves unlike any Gunpla. The torso flex and the knee articulation feel very “EVA-like”, and you can recreate almost every iconic Unit-01 moment. If you’re an Evangelion fan, this one is very satisfying to build and display.
