Madworks NPM-01 Samurai Single Blade Nipper
Overview
The Madworks Samurai Single Blade Nipper (NPM-01) is designed using high-toughness HSS steel and CNC-machined cutting edges to provide a consistent, smooth cutting feel. Compared to stainless-steel cutters, HSS offers higher hardness and longer durability, making it suitable for precision plastic model work.
Because HSS is a steel-based material, it will naturally develop rust if not protected. Each nipper is therefore coated with anti-rust lubricating oil from factory. During the initial use, you may notice excess oil being pressed out around the hinge—this is normal and part of the protective process.
The package includes a leather-style protective sleeve and metal box, allowing both storage and easy maintenance. Simply insert, wipe, and let the protective sleeve absorb the oil to help maintain the blade surface.
