Overview

HG 1/144 GN-006GNHW/R Cherudim Gundam GNHW/R recreates Lockon Stratos’ heavily armed final-battle mobile suit from the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Developed from the GN-006 Cherudim Gundam, this upgraded configuration adds six powerful GN Rifle Bits and two additional GN Beam Pistol IIs. The designation GNHW/R stands for GN Heavy Weapons/Rifle, reflecting its increased emphasis on long-range firepower and multi-directional precision attacks.

The addition of the GN Rifle Bits changes the mobile suit’s equipment arrangement. Seven of its nine GN Shield Bits are grouped around the left shoulder to form a large defensive shield, while the six Rifle Bits are distributed between the right shoulder and the rear-mounted GN Drive section.

Together with the GN Sniper Rifle II, four GN Beam Pistol IIs, Holoscreen and included Shield Bit display stand, this release provides the most heavily equipped standard HG version of Cherudim Gundam.

• This is the GNHW/R final-battle version, not the earlier standard HG Cherudim Gundam.

• The kit includes the original Cherudim equipment together with its added GNHW/R weapons.

• Separate flying stands or support arms for displaying the six GN Rifle Bits in flight are not included.

• An Action Base for supporting the main mobile suit is sold separately.

• The large number of mounted weapons can limit movement around the shoulders, waist and backpack.

• Careful attachment is recommended when handling the Rifle Bits, Shield Bits and Beam Pistol IIs.

• Some smaller colour details are reproduced with foil stickers.

• Water-slide decals are not included.

• The kit was originally engineered in 2009, so its articulation and joint design differ from newer High Grade releases.

• Product images may show a painted, panel-lined, stickered or professionally finished sample.

• Basic hobby tools such as a nipper, sanding tools, tweezers and panel liner are recommended.

• Painting is not required, but sensor detailing, panel lining and top coat can improve the finished appearance.

Cherudim Gundam GNHW/R is the version to choose if you want Cherudim at its most heavily armed. The six Rifle Bits dramatically increase the equipment density around the shoulders and GN Drive, while the reorganised Shield Bits give the left side a large and distinctive defensive silhouette.

The included clear Shield Bit stand is especially useful. It allows the nine Shield Bits to be displayed away from the body as a defensive formation, giving the kit a more dynamic presentation than simply attaching every weapon to the mobile suit.

The main limitation is that Bandai does not include separate supports for displaying the six Rifle Bits in flight. Builders who want a full remote-weapon deployment scene may need additional stands, clear rods or a custom display solution.

Even without a custom bit display, the combination of the GN Sniper Rifle II, four Beam Pistol IIs, six Rifle Bits and nine Shield Bits makes this one of the most equipment-heavy Gundam 00 High Grade kits. It also displays particularly well beside the other GNHW-equipped Celestial Being Gundams from the final battle.
