Overview

HGBF 1/144 Gundam X Maoh is a High Grade model kit of Yasaka Mao’s customized Gunpla from Gundam Build Fighters.

Based on the Gundam X from After War Gundam X, Gundam X Maoh has been extensively modified with Reflect Thruster units placed across its body and an upgraded Hyper Satellite Cannon designed for overwhelming long-range firepower.

The kit combines the distinctive satellite-cannon silhouette of the original Gundam X with the more aggressive proportions and equipment style of a Build Fighters custom. Along with the Enhanced Hyper Satellite Cannon, it includes the Shield Buster Rifle, Large Beam Sword, Beam Sabers, Vulcan Pod, and Missile Pod, giving builders several ranged and close-combat display options.

Things to Note

• This is a plastic model kit and requires assembly.

• This is an older HGBF release, so articulation and engineering may feel simpler than newer High Grade kits.

• The large Satellite Cannon and Reflect Thruster parts should be handled carefully during posing.

• Some smaller color and sensor details are reproduced with foil stickers.

• Product images may show a painted, panel-lined, stickered, or professionally finished sample.

• Painting is not required, but panel lining, detail painting, and top coat can improve the finished appearance.

• Basic hobby tools such as a nipper, sanding tools, tweezers, and panel liner are recommended.

• An Action Base is sold separately and may help with cannon-firing or aerial display poses.

• The large Maoh Sword effect seen in some animated scenes is not included as a separate oversized effect part.

Gundam X Maoh is a good example of how Gundam Build Fighters takes a familiar mobile suit and changes its character without losing the original identity.

The Satellite Cannon is still the main visual feature, but the Full Body Reflect Thruster System makes the whole model feel more specialized and aggressive than the standard Gundam X. The extra weapon options also give the kit more variety than the current short product description suggests.

This is an older HGBF kit, so the build is relatively straightforward compared with newer High Grades. That can be a positive point if you want a manageable project with a distinctive silhouette and plenty of equipment. A little panel lining around the Reflect Thrusters and a clean matte finish will help the modified armor details stand out.
