DeToyz Plamo Contest 2026 — Official Announcement
DeToyz Plamo Contest is back in 2026.
DPC 2026 is still a contest — but this year we’re giving everyone more time to plan, build, and present something with stronger showcase impact. We’re looking forward to entries that don’t just look good, but also feel complete and intentional — builds that can tell a story, capture a moment, or create a scene worth stopping for.
If you’ve been wanting to try something more ambitious, especially diorama-based work, this is the year to do it.
Event Timeline
- Registration Opens: 26 January 2026
- Build Period: Approximately 6 months (January–July 2026)
- Submission Period: 27 July – 1 August 2026
- Results Announcement: 9 August 2026
The longer build duration is intentional. Dioramas and story-driven builds take planning, iteration, and patience — and we want builders to enjoy the process without rushing.
Entry Qualification
- Spend RM80 at DeToyz (any product, no restrictions) to qualify for one (1) contest entry.
- Multiple entries are allowed with multiple qualifying purchases.
Important: Each participant is only eligible to receive one (1) prize. If a participant submits multiple entries, only the highest-scoring entry will be considered for prize placement.
Purchases can be made in-store or online, following the same qualification method used in previous years.
Model Eligibility
- No restriction on model brand or scale.
- All genres are welcome, except:
- Military models
- Car models
- Motorcycle models
Original Kits Policy
Original kits only. Pirated are not allowed to participate in DPC 2026.
3D Printing Policy
3D-printed parts and accessories are allowed as supporting elements. However, entries that are fully or primarily 3D-printed kits are not permitted.
Judging & Prizes
Judging criteria for DPC 2026 have been updated to better reflect storytelling, creativity, and overall presentation. Full criteria will be shared in a separate announcement.
Judges and prize details will be announced at a later date.
What to Expect from DPC 2026
- A stronger focus on story, scene, and atmosphere
- Diorama-friendly direction and presentation mindset
- A contest that values intention and expression, not just technical perfection
- A curated showcase of builds rather than a crowded competition floor
This is not about building the most complex kit — it’s about building something that feels meaningful and complete to you.
More updates (including judging criteria breakdown, categories, and other details) will be announced in the coming months. If you’ve been waiting for the right excuse to plan a bigger idea — this is it.
