GM02 Gray is usually the panel lining marker I would recommend when you want a cleaner and less heavy finish. On white or light-colored Gunpla armor, black panel lines can sometimes look too bold. Gray gives a more natural look while still bringing out the panel details.

For beginners, this is a very useful marker to have together with GM01 Black. Use gray when you want subtle panel lines, and use black when you want stronger contrast.
