Dspiae Sanding Sponge
Overview
Dspiae’s Sanding Sponge series is designed specifically for scale model builders who need clean, scratch-controlled sanding with maximum flexibility. Each sponge combines a thin-film abrasive surface with a dense EVA foam base, allowing it to bend smoothly over curves, reach tight edges, and maintain even pressure during sanding.
The grits are colour-coded and consistent, making it easy to move from rough shaping to fine polishing — whether you’re working on Gunpla, resin kits, or general model prep.
The XSS-S01 Complete Set includes every grit in both 3mm and 10mm thickness, while the 10mm variants are also available separately for builders who need heavier, more supportive sanding blocks.

Personal Note (From Ah Chong)
I’ve tested many sanding products over the years, and Dspiae’s sponge series stands out for one reason: consistency. The grits are very uniform, so you don’t suddenly get a deep scratch from a random grain. The sponges also bend nicely around curved parts, which helps a lot on Gunpla armor and round surfaces.
If you want a reliable sanding setup that’s easy to use and lasts longer than normal sandpaper, this set is worth having on your workbench.
