Overview

HG 1/100 VF-31E Siegfried (Chuck Mustang Use) Deluxe Set is the more complete edition of Chuck Mustang’s variable fighter from Macross Delta.

The model uses Bandai’s Shortcut Change system, which combines movable sections with selected replacement parts to simplify the change between Fighter, GERWALK, and Battroid forms. This approach reduces the complexity of a fully integrated transformation while allowing each form to retain cleaner proportions and stable articulation.

Chuck’s VF-31E is distinguished by its large radome, yellow-accented color scheme, and electronic-support equipment. The Deluxe Set adds a dedicated water-transfer decal sheet for a finer aircraft-style finish and a double-sided acrylic stand featuring newly illustrated Reina Prowler artwork.

DeToyz Note

The Deluxe Set makes the most sense for builders who already plan to finish the VF-31E carefully. The model itself is the same as the standard release, but the dedicated water-transfer decals give the broad wings and aircraft surfaces a cleaner, more detailed appearance than the included adhesive stickers.

The Reina Prowler acrylic stand also gives this version a stronger character-display element. Together with the three included scale figures, it makes the package feel more closely connected to Macross Delta rather than being only an aircraft model.

Chuck’s VF-31E is already one of the most distinctive units in the Delta Flight lineup because of its radome and yellow markings. For collectors who want the fullest version in one box, this is the version to choose.
