Overview

HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex represents the final and most feral evolution of Barbatos from Iron-Blooded Orphans.

The design pushes the aggressive animal-like style even further, featuring enlarged claws, tail weaponry, and massive close-combat equipment. Its silhouette is intentionally more savage compared to earlier Barbatos forms.

The kit includes the signature Ultra Large Mace, which is even taller than the mobile suit itself. The grip can collapse for storage on the waist.

The Tail Blade uses a lead wire to recreate attack poses, while the forearms contain deployable sub-arms, adding more mechanical detail and display options.

Wide articulation across the body supports dynamic action poses, especially for heavy melee combat scenes.

Personal Note (From Ah Chong)

Lupus Rex has a very different feel compared to normal Gundam designs.

The claws, tail weapon, and oversized mace make it feel more like a beast than a traditional mobile suit. Even straight build already has strong presence on display.

If you like aggressive-looking kits, this one is hard to ignore.
