Overview

MG 1/100 MS-06J Zaku II Ver.2.0 is Bandai’s Master Grade interpretation of the Principality of Zeon’s classic ground-combat mass-production mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam.

The Ver.2.0 design updates the Zaku II with a highly detailed internal frame, improved proportions, layered armor construction, and a wide range of mechanical movement. The completed model retains the familiar green mass-production Zaku appearance while providing a more involved build experience than a standard High Grade kit.

This MS-06J version is configured for ground combat and includes the Zaku Machine Gun, Zaku Bazooka, Heat Hawk, and leg-mounted Missile Pods. It is a strong choice for Universal Century collectors, Zeon army builders, weathering projects, and modelers looking for a classic Master Grade build with visible mechanical detail.

MG Zaku II Ver.2.0 remains one of the most useful classic Master Grade kits for builders. The design is simple from the outside, but the internal frame, moving cockpit, mono-eye mechanism, and segmented power pipes make the build feel properly mechanical.

The MS-06J version is especially suitable for a ground-combat finish. The leg Missile Pods, muted green armor, and standard Zeon weapons work well with dust effects, chipped paint, oil stains, and a matte top coat.

This kit is also a good base for custom unit markings because the Zaku II is a mass-production machine rather than a single hero unit. It can be built clean as a standard Zeon mobile suit, or treated as a more involved weathering and diorama project.
