MG 1/100 RB-79 Ball Ver.Ka is a Master Grade Gunpla model kit of the Earth Federation’s RB-79 Ball, redesigned under Hajime Katoki’s Ver.Ka supervision.

Unlike a normal humanoid mobile suit, the Ball is a compact mobile pod with a utilitarian, industrial design. This MG Ver.Ka version focuses heavily on mechanical realism, surface detail, working-pod structure, and display presentation. This is a good kit for builders who enjoy machines that feel functional. The two 1/100 maintenance crew figures and the display base also make it suitable for a small hangar or maintenance scene, even without a large diorama.

For finishing, this kit rewards careful panel lining, decal work, and subtle weathering. A clean build already looks good, but light grey shading, chipped edges, and a matte top coat can make the Ball feel much more like a real support machine from the Universal Century setting.
