Overview

RG 1/48 AV-98Plus Ingram Plus brings the upgraded Labor from Mobile Police Patlabor EZY into Bandai’s Real Grade model kit lineup.

This release combines the grounded mechanical appearance of Patlabor with the layered construction and detailed engineering associated with the RG series. An internal frame supports the model’s armor and articulation, while the cockpit, equipment storage, winch, and weapon deployment features help recreate the practical machinery seen in the series.

The silver components use Real Metallic Gloss Injection, giving them a metallic appearance directly from the runners. Together with the included pilot figure and Realistic Decals, the kit offers a detailed display project for Patlabor collectors and builders who prefer realistic law-enforcement mecha.

DeToyz Note

The RG Ingram Plus is interesting because it applies Real Grade engineering to a machine that feels more practical than a typical hero robot. The cockpit, winch, shield storage, Revolver Cannon, and exposed mechanical details all support the idea that this is a working police Labor rather than a fantasy combat machine.

The Real Metallic Gloss Injection parts should also help the silver details stand out even on a straight build. Adding the Realistic Decals, a little panel lining, and restrained weathering around the joints and lower legs can give it an even more convincing operational appearance.

This is a good choice for builders who enjoy Patlabor’s grounded design language or want an RG project that looks and feels different from a Gundam kit.
