Overview
RG Evangelion Unit-02 is the third release in the RG Evangelion series, focusing on recreating the organic movement and structure of an Evangelion unit.
Unlike traditional mobile suits, this kit is designed to reflect a more human-like form, with internal parts that mimic muscle movement. The articulation system allows wide posing range without armor interference, making it suitable for dynamic action poses seen in the series.
The knee structure features a sinking mechanism that reduces armor collision during movement, while the internal parts shift naturally during leg extension to maintain realistic proportions.
The head is constructed with finely separated parts for accurate color reproduction, and the eyes are molded in color for a clean finish.
Newly designed weapons include the Progressive Knife specific to Unit-02, along with the Thunder Spear featuring a folding gimmick.

Personal Note (From Ah Chong)
RG Evangelion kits feel very different compared to Gundam kits.
The way it moves is more “organic” — not mechanical. The articulation is smooth, and you can get very natural poses without forcing anything.
If you’ve only built Gundam before, this is a good change of pace.
