Overview

RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero brings the original TV-version mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing into the Real Grade lineup with completely new engineering, detailed mechanical construction, and a full transformation into Neo Bird Mode.

This release recreates Wing Zero’s distinctive twin wing binders, blue-and-white TV color scheme, Shield, Beam Sabers, and powerful Twin Buster Rifle. The model combines advanced articulation with multiple linked mechanical gimmicks, allowing the wings, verniers, armor, weapons, and transformation parts to move in a more integrated way.

The result is a detailed 1/144 model that supports both powerful mobile suit poses and a clean high-speed Neo Bird Mode display.

DeToyz Note

RG Wing Gundam Zero is an important release because it finally gives the original TV design a modern Real Grade treatment. It should not be confused with the older RG Wing Gundam Zero EW, which has the well-known feather-style wings.

The wing binders are one of the main highlights. Their five-axis movement and linked vernier gimmick give the model much more expression than a simple fixed backpack. The extending rifle barrels, deployable machine cannons, opening cockpit, and animated shield details also make the build feel mechanically complete.

This kit should pair especially well with RG Gundam Epyon. Wing Zero’s ranged Twin Buster Rifle display and Epyon’s close-combat equipment create a strong TV-series rivalry setup in the same scale.
