Tamiya 87133 Panel Line Accent Color [Gray] 40ml

Tamiya 87133 Panel Line Accent Color [Gray] 40ml

Overview

Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color [Gray] is designed to bring out panel lines and surface details with a clean, subtle finish. Compared to black, the gray shade gives a softer shadow that works especially well on white, light gray, blue, and mecha-style color schemes. The enamel formula flows easily into recessed lines, making panel lining fast and beginner-friendly.

Specifications

  • Type: Enamel-based panel line wash
  • Color: Gray
  • Volume: 40ml
  • Includes brush inside the bottle cap
  • Best used over Tamiya acrylic or lacquer paints
  • Ideal for highlighting surface details and creating depth

Recommended For

  • Gundam kits (white armor parts, blue armor, grey frames)
  • Aircraft and sci-fi kits with light-color panels
  • Builders who prefer a cleaner, less harsh panel lining result
  • Beginners learning enamel wash techniques
  • Modelers wanting controlled, natural-looking shadows

Personal Note (From Ah Chong)

If you build mecha, especially anything with a lot of white panels, this Gray is one of the most reliable choices. It gives depth without looking too strong, and it’s very forgiving even if you’re still learning panel lining. One of my most-used shades on Gundam kits.
