Every year, the DeToyz Plamo Contest trophy is designed to represent more than a finishing position.
It should carry the identity of that year’s contest, reflect the direction of the event, and become something the winner can continue to display long after the results are announced.
For DPC 2026, the idea behind the trophy is built around one simple element:
Light.
From Craftsmanship to Recognition — and Now, Presence
The DPC trophies have continued to evolve from year to year.
The 2024 trophy focused on craftsmanship through a crystal-and-wood presentation. The 2025 design took the form of a recognition plaque, placing greater emphasis on achievement and acknowledgement.
For 2026, the trophy takes another step forward.
This year’s design is not only an award — it is also an illuminated display piece.
A clear craft-crystal panel mounted on an illuminated wooden base creates a warm glow around the engraved details. Once the light is switched on, the trophy gains a stronger visual presence, almost like a small display installation of its own.
A Trophy Designed Around Light and Shadow
DPC 2026 is our Diorama Year.
Unlike a standalone model, a diorama depends heavily on atmosphere, composition, storytelling, and the relationship between the subject and its surroundings.
Light and shadow play an important role in how a scene is understood. They guide the viewer’s eye, reveal details, create mood, and help turn a collection of parts into a complete visual story.
That same idea became the foundation of this year’s trophy.
The illuminated craft-crystal panel represents the moment when a builder’s work is brought into focus — when the effort behind the model, the scene and the story is finally seen.
It is a trophy that does not simply sit on a shelf. It glows, changes the surrounding atmosphere, and becomes part of the display itself.
The 2026 Trophy Design
Each trophy features a clear craft-crystal panel mounted on an illuminated wooden base.
The front engraving includes:
- DeToyz Plamo Contest 2026
- 1st Place, 2nd Place or 3rd Place
- Best Plamo Builder Awards
The placement title is the main visual focus, while the vertical 2026 contest marking gives the design a more modern and structured appearance.
At the front of the wooden base, the number 2026 is cut into the surface. When the light is switched on, the warm glow passes through the cut-out sections, making the year visible as part of the illuminated design.
The combination of the clear craft-crystal panel and natural wooden base gives the trophy a balance between modern presentation and warmth.

More Than a Static Award
The lighting feature is built directly into the wooden base.
- Touch-sensitive switch
- Adjustable light brightness
- Rechargeable operation
- Charging cable included
- Warm internal illumination
- Approximate size: 18.5 cm × 12 cm
The touch control allows the light to be switched on easily, while the brightness can be adjusted depending on how the trophy is displayed.
It can be placed on a workbench, shelf, display cabinet or beside a completed model, functioning both as an award and as a small ambient display light.
At approximately 18.5 cm × 12 cm, the trophy has enough presence to stand out without taking up too much display space.
A Different Trophy for Every DPC Year
We do not want every DeToyz Plamo Contest trophy to look the same.
Each year has its own direction, its own atmosphere and its own story. The trophy should reflect that.
For 2026, the illuminated design represents visibility, presentation and the moment a builder’s work steps into the light.
It also reflects the spirit of this year’s contest — where the model is not judged alone, but as part of a complete scene.
The three trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of DeToyz Plamo Contest 2026.
We hope they will not only serve as recognition of the winners’ achievement, but also as lasting display pieces that carry the memory of this year’s contest.
Final Note
A model builder spends many quiet hours working alone — planning, assembling, correcting, painting and refining.
Most of that effort happens away from the spotlight.
The DPC 2026 trophy is designed around the moment when that work is finally seen.
When the light is switched on, the engraving becomes clearer, the craft-crystal panel begins to glow, and the award takes on a presence of its own.
For this year’s winners, we hope it becomes more than a trophy.
We hope it becomes a small light that continues to remind them of what they created.
